Episode #4: What do I have in common with Nellie Oleson of "Little House on the Prairie?" Spoiled alert: We are both soft villains.

Explaining how a person can acknowledge, accept, and manage being horrible and human at the same time.

In this Episode…

I grew up watching the television show “Little House on the Prairie,” the characters of Harriet Oleson and her daughter Nellie Oleson, the defacto heels of the town of Walnut Grove, were my favorites.

The show was not comedic; it was a full of tragedy, one-hour drama, but when it was funny, the comic relief tended to come from these two characters, either directly or because of comeuppance played upon them.

Hello friend! Or future friend? Hopefully, not future enemy?

I suppose that to be an actual enemy, one would have had to have a falling out of a friendship. Wait, I am getting away from the point of this missive.

I need your help!

Do you remember when connecting with someone on social media was called “friending” and not “following?” “Following” sounds so subsurvient, don’t ya think?

The point of me publishing my writing is to bring something to your life, because by reading, listening, liking, commenting, and subscribing, you are bringing something to mine.

Let’s develop this community together! I’m looking forward to it!

And if you want to offer me dinner, please make it something fattening so I have an excuse, like, “This food was given to me!”

Hi. It's Josh.
I published my first newsletter before the age of ten, written using my next-door neighbor’s typewriter, copied with carbon paper, and distributed to mailboxes on my bicycle.
One of my first stories was an obituary of John Belushi. Strange for a ten year old? Yes!
My show is governed by deadpan sarcasm that goes granular on topics of culture that I'm deeply curious about. I hope you enjoy this sometimes snarky stream of consciousness.
I'm serious about not taking life too seriously.™
