On This Week’s Episode
Hey everybody! It’s Josh Bloom, and I feel pretty stupid for complaining about the heat wave that hit New York last, because the heat wave that hit New York this was much more heat-y. I know that heat-y is not a word, but that should let you know just how hot it was. We are talking word-creating heat. Kind of how the Earth was formed in th first place. Lots of heat that created a planet. Word. I got in my car one afternoon and it said 101 and that was not a radio station. Okay… it was hot. You get it and don’t care and why should you. My comfort is not your problem. I understand.
This is Episode #37 of the Josh Bloom and Josh Bloom’s Comfort Is Not My Problem Podcast also known as the Josh Bloom Podcast! It is the latest edition of 1461 Days of Ignoring The Trump Administration. Days 152-158. The book I am writing is still being written, but I am thoroughly entertained by it, which means that maybe, just maybe, someone else will be, too. Who knows? Maybe a baker’s dozen will be entertained. Or maybe a bushel, which is 9.309 liquid gallons. Like I said, it has been hot in New York and that has broken my brain, which again, is not your problem. The book is going to be great and I will be begging you to pre-order it. You can rest assured about that.
This week on the show, a Black woman says she’s sorry to me at the trash can, and I explain how this moment that she couldn’t care less about caused me to consider the Black experience. Then, I am very excited to talk about the return of the Talking Sopranos podcast, which I highly recommend and found the social commentary discussed on the surprise return episode to be worthy of Day 153 of Ignoring The Trump Administration. Then, I just couldn’t help myself, but we had to discuss the leader of the Trump Administration’s speech in which he said, “We love you, God,” because it is the strangest words I have ever heard. It’s weirder than the word heat-y. I just couldn't help myself the next day either and had to discuss the continued theory that what happened to the leader of the Trump Administration when he injured his ear was staged. I mean, it happened on a stage.
I couldn’t help myself for a third day when the leader of the Trump Administration had a meltdown in front of reporters and said the f-word! Not on a hot mic or anything. While he was being interviewed! I am pretty sure that I go several days without cause to use the f-word, but then again, I am not constantly f-ing up! It was too fun not to say it on this day, however, so I did. I give an extensive lesson on how to deal with trolls online, and it is not my block and delete method. It is a slightly more involved way to subtly change a person’s life. If that sounds really deep and meaningful, great. Finally, I reveal what society’s biggest problem is, and you might think that I say the leader of the Trump Administration, but you will have to listen to the end to find out for sure.
Hi. It’s Josh.
A few days before the inauguration, I was thinking about how I wanted to deal with the next four years.
Watch all of the original 1461 Days of Ignoring The Trump Administration TikTok posts from June 20th-June 26th, 2025 (on YouTube!)
I was exhausted by the news!
But I wasn’t interested in going completely uninformed. I wanted to use the “opportunity,” as I had decided to optimistically look at this timeline, to become more mindful and better train my mind to take in the “news,” and then let it fall away from my conciousness.
Efficiently and totally. The other aspect of this thought was to then take the personal time I was reclaiming through this process and apply it to more creative endeavors.
This series, for example!
1461 Days of Ignoring The Trump Administration began. “Day 1” went viral on TikTok, so now I am in until 2029, right?!
If you are also someone aspiring to become the best version of yourself, please feel free to join me on this journey, which is sure to get weird around “Day 132,” “Day 877,” and “Day 1001,” etc.
Let's Go!
